Hokkaido: Sapporo Tourist Places

Televi Tower:  Probably most famous place to see in Hokkaido is the Televi  Tower. Located in the central area of the Sapporo city by the park, this tower provides electric wave needed to watch TV in Hokkaido. I find this tower little similar to the Tokyo tower but smaller. Surrounded by buildings and shopping markets, you can do shopping around the area.

 

Sapporo Clock Tower:  Hokkaido is very famous for this clock tower.  It was built in the  1870s . The building was a drill hall of former Sapporo Agricultural COllege and became the important cultural property in the 1970s. It was one of the oldest building built in the city. 

Tanuki Koji Shopping Arcade: If you are looking for souvenirs, walk around Tanuki Koji Shopping Arcade. There are Karaoke, restaurants and you will find yourself surrounded by shops selling interesting goods.

 

Sapporo Beer:  If you are in Hokkaid, you got to go to the Sapporo beer brewery for a nice glass of a beer and Jingisukan.  It tastes so great especially in the hot summer time. Jinigukan  is a lamb meet bbq, is one of the famous food eaten in Hokkaido. At the brewery, you can have both.
