American Waffles And Norwegian Waffles

What do you imagine when you think of waffles? 

Do you imagine thick square shaped ones or thick yet crispy heart shaped waffles? 

I am living for Norway today and I cannot help myself from drooling because I love Norwegian waffles.  I probably can eat plate full of it in a few minutes.  American waffles are quite fluffy and the syrup goes into the squares of the waffles. The square shaped waffles are quite good but when you have not had the heart shaped waffles for so long, crispy and tasty waffles just make your day. 

In Singapore, we had a heart shaped waffle maker at home but when I moved to Japan we could not find them anymore. The square shaped waffle makers can be found anywhere but not even in Canada we could not find them. 

I find how food that seems like exist in different countries but it differs depending on where you are. Whither difference in ingredients, shape,size, or the way it is cooked.
