Kentucky Fried Chicken as known as KFC in Japan is a popular fast food restaurant in Japan especially during Christmas season. Though it is a fast food restaurant, in Japan some people have
fried chicken from Kentucky Fried Chicken for special occasion such as birthday and christmas.
In fact, in the Christmas season there are advertisements from KFC stating that " For Christmas".
I did not know that KFC fried chickens are special occasion food till I met a friend in highschool whom had told me that she always have KFC fried chicken for Christmas. I thought it was just
her family but I found out later on that in Okinawa, it is considered celebrately food. It is enjoyed
on the festivities, birthdays and christmas.
It's quite interesting that what is most likely considered to be fast food in other countries can be
special food. Is there any food may be just an ordinally food but means alot to you ?
