"Hanami"

It is Spring Time here in Japan. Cherry blossom groomed and new school year, new work year started this month. For most Japanese people,spring means hanamai. What is hanami?  When cherry bloosom groom, people gather friends, family and co-workers to gather and watch it bloom.  Park is full of people having picnic under the cherryblossom trees. Adults get alcoholic drinks and stay up all night to enjoy the view.
For Japanese people, it is a great reason to get together and party till dawn. To get the best  place near the cherry blossom trees is quite difficult. Some may stay up all night to get the best stop. Some may skip work so their coworkers and boss can come join later in the day.

Hanami only happens in one week that cherry blossom blooms. News casters talk about the time when the cherryblossoms will appear so we can all get ready to plan our hanami. If the first sign of cherryblossom appears in the area, it is a big deal. It appears on the news and it is time to start scheduling,planing and preparing.

If you are planing a trip to Japan, hanami season in April is probably the most ideal season to visit Japan.
